       President- Katie Burns, Kiewit

Katie Burns is an Project Engineer with Kiewit.  Her construction experience is primarily in heavy civil scope and has worked in markets such as LNG, roadways, water supply, and dams. She is passionate about bridging the communication gap between contractors and designers to maximize the value of alternative delivery contracts to clients. In addition to her project assignments, she is a committee member of Women in Kiewit Central District and is a facilitator for field operation trainings. Katie earned her Civil Engineering B.S. from the University of Toledo and was recognized by ASCE and DiscoverE as one of the New Faces of Engineering in 2015. When Katie is off the jobsite, she like to spend her time hiking, skiing, gardening, crocheting, and has recently picked up paddleboarding.



      Vice President- Catherine White, Nabholz

Catherine is a Project Manager for Nabholz Construction in Hernando, Mississippi. She has over 30 years of valuable experience in various areas of the construction industry, including roles as a project manager, superintendent, and business owner. Her expertise covers a wide spectrum, from small to large tenant buildouts, ground-up projects, and residential construction. She's engaged in unique roles, from roofing to rebar detailing, estimating, threshold inspection, and operational management.

Originally from Millington, Tennessee, Catherine earned her Associates of Science degree and an Architectural Technology Certificate from Southwest Tennessee Community College in Memphis. She also had the opportunity to study abroad in London, England, and actively participated in the Southwest Mentors Advancing Retention, Teamwork, and Success (SMARTS) program, where she served as a mentor to peers to enhance access to college-level education and academic program completion. Catherine attained her Certificate of Management in Lean Construction from the Associated General Contractors, holds an endorsement in building codes from the International Code Council, and maintains Level One Certified Inspector status for Tennessee SWPPP (Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plan). She was also nominated as a Memphis Business Journal 2022 Women Who Lead: Construction.

Catherine firmly believes that there's something new to understand every day. "The most valuable lesson I've learned is to give respect and gain respect from your peers. It's essential to build relationships with everyone—vendors, subcontractors, other contractors, architects, and inspectors—as well as fellow co-workers."


Director & Marketing Chair- Meghan Medford, Medford Roofing, Inc. 

Meghan holds a degree from Rhodes College in International Business and a Master of Business Administration from Christian Brothers University.  Since founding Medford Roofing 2010, the company has earned over $20,000,000 in revenue and has offices in both Memphis and Nashville.  Medford Roofing was awarded as one of the top five finalists for the Memphis Business Journal Small Business of the Year award 2014 and 2015, as well as, earned the MBJ "Pacesetter Award"(fastest growing private company) in 2015, 2016, and 2018. Meghan has also been awarded the Greater Memphis Chamber "Young Memphis" award 2014, MBJ "Superwoman in Business" 2018, and MBJ "Top Forty Under Forty" 2018.



Secretary- Holland Hudspeth, McCabe Construction

Holland is born and raised in Memphis, TN! After graduating from the University of Mississippi, she began her career as the Marketing and Sales Manager at McCabe Construction. Holland is the Director of Business Development as supports McCabe's specialty of insurance restoration for residential and commercial properties. In her role, Holland also focuses on tenant improvements, renovations, and bidding work for commercial projects. As a long time Memphian, Hollands loves being able to support her community through the projects she is involved with as well as being heavily engaged in organizations like NAWIC Memphis Chapter and Young Life Ministries. 

Holland is an extremely driven individual who loves to focus inward on her continual personal growth. She believes that in the construction world, there is constant evolvement and many challenges, but once a lesson is revealed, there is so much excitement for what’s next.



PD&E Chair- Melissa Negron, Lehman-Roberts Company

As an HR Generalist, SHRM-CP, Melissa enjoys the different aspects of Human Resources and being part of an organization that focuses on employees and company values. She has a Master’s degree from Bradley University in Peoria, Illinois, and has had the opportunity to work in various industries including manufacturing and production, corporate, healthcare, and city government.

Currently, she has been working in the construction industry with Lehman Roberts Co./ Memphis Stone and Gravel Co for over 2 years. She enjoys working for a family of companies who find ways to improve the community and lead the asphalt paving and sand & gravel mining industries in innovation while focusing on a strong safety culture.

In the fall she volunteers on the Board of Managers to help fundraise for her daughter’s high school First Robotics FRC program.





Treasurer - Jennifer Bernero, Asure

Jennifer Bernero is a seasoned professional in the field of sales, specializing in payroll services, HR services, and 401k solutions. With a decade of experience under her belt, Jennifer has established herself as a prominent figure in the industry, providing comprehensive and effective solutions to her clients. Having graduated from the University of Memphis in 2011 with a Bachelor's degree in Organizational Management, Jennifer has consistently demonstrated her commitment to excellence. Her dedication and hard work have earned her recognition, including top awards from the Presidents Club and Winner's Circle. Jennifer's expertise and proficiency in navigating the complexities of payroll and HR services have made her an invaluable asset to her clients. Her passion for helping businesses thrive and succeed is evident in her work, making her a trusted and respected figure in the field.


Membership Chair- Deanna Collums, Collums Construction

Deanna Collums is the President and Managing Partner at Collums Construction. She has 7 years of experience in the construction industry. Her first taste of construction was being the Marketing and Sales manager for a local restoration company. From there, her love and passion for the industry blossomed. Now, Deanna and her partner focus on commercial flooring, tenant improvements, and residential renovations. She attended Houston High School, and University of Memphis. While at the UofM, she received her B.A. in Hospitality Management. As a born and raised Memphian, there is nothing she loves more than being apart of the growth and revitalization happening in the city she calls home. 



Director and WIC Week Chair - Brandy Aden, Building Construction Management, LLC

Brandy has over 31 years of experience in the commercial and industrial general construction industry.  She started in the field as a laborer and gained knowledge to be one of the leading Women in Construction.  Brandy holds a General Contractor's license in Tennessee and offers construction management and construction consulting services. 

Brandy has held many NAWIC offices since joining in 2003. She is a certified Construction Industry Technician and Construction Document Specialist through NAWIC. She has graduated from leadership classes at Memphis Business Academy and SBA Emerging Leaders. Brandy was nominated as a Memphis Business Journal 2022 Women Who Lead: Construction.   Brandy received a Bachelor of Science degree from Christian Brothers University with an emphasis in Information Technology Management in 1998.  



Emerging Professionals Chair - Jill Rayman, Dart

Jill Rayman is a distinguished fourth-generation owner-operator in the pest control industry, bringing over 23 years of valuable experience to the field. As a WBE and DBE certified professional, she has solidified her place as a trailblazer in the industry. Jill's commitment to exceptional customer service has been a cornerstone of her success, distinguishing her company as a leader in the field.

With her comprehensive range of services, including pest control, termite control, soil treatments for new construction, and wildlife exclusions for various pests such as squirrels, raccoons, and roof rats, Jill has become a trusted name in the industry. Her upcoming venture into water restoration and mold services, along with plans for crawlspace encapsulations, further exemplifies her dedication to expanding her expertise and offering comprehensive solutions to her clients.
